Care Guide

Light

Best placed near a window with bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, especially at midday, to prevent scorching the pale areas of the leaves.

Watering

Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil is dry. Maintain moderate, even moisture, but do not leave the roots in standing water or constantly saturated soil.

Humidity

Prefers medium to high humidity and moderate room conditions away from direct air-conditioning or heater airflow. Dry air can cause dry leaf tips.

Temperature

Suitable temperatures are 18–28°C. Protect from severe cold and sudden draughts.

Feeding

Apply a diluted, balanced fertiliser every 4–6 weeks in spring and summer. Reduce or stop feeding in winter.

Important Notes

  • Scorched or dry leaf tips may result from dry air, irregular watering or high salt levels in the water.
  • Yellowing leaves are often associated with overwatering.
  • Gently wipe the foliage with a damp cloth to maintain its shine and clear variegation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Triostar suitable for low light?

It tolerates medium light, but its variegation and growth are better in bright, indirect light.

Why are the pink or cream colours fading?

Insufficient light is a common cause. Move it to a brighter location while keeping the light indirect.

How often should I water it?

Do not follow a fixed schedule. Check the soil and water when the top 2–3 cm is dry. It needs more water in summer and less in winter.

Why are the leaf tips brown?

Dry air, delayed watering or water with high salt levels may be responsible. Maintain suitable humidity and consistent watering.

Is a decorative planter included?

No. The plant comes in a plastic nursery pot, 19 cm in diameter. Decorative planters in lifestyle photos are for illustration only.

Will I receive the exact plant in the photos?

You will receive the same variety and approximate size, but leaf number, variegation and the prominence of pink or burgundy naturally vary between plants.
