Why choose it?

  • Two staggered stems create a fuller, balanced shape.

  • Medium height suits small and medium-sized spaces.
  • Suitable for homes, offices and reception areas.
  • A resilient houseplant that is relatively easy to care for.

Care guide

Light

It prefers bright, indirect light and can adapt to medium indoor light. Avoid strong direct sun to prevent leaf scorch. It can survive in relatively low light, but growth will be slower and the coloured leaf margins may become less distinct.

Watering

Water when the top 3–5 cm of soil dries. Add water slowly until it drains from the pot, then discard the excess. Do not follow a fixed watering schedule. Check the soil first, as drying rates vary with light, temperature and season.

Soil and drainage

Use a light, well-drained houseplant mix and a pot with drainage holes. Do not allow water to collect inside a decorative planter after watering.

Temperature

Moderate household temperatures of approximately 18–27°C are suitable. Keep it away from direct air-conditioning airflow and heat sources, and protect it from sudden temperature changes.

Humidity

Normal household humidity is suitable. Gently wipe the leaves with a damp cloth to remove dust and maintain their appearance.

Feeding

Apply a balanced or foliage-plant fertiliser every 4–6 weeks in spring and summer, following the rate on the product label. Reduce feeding in winter or when growth slows.

Pruning and cleaning

Remove yellow or dry leaves with a clean tool. You can trim brown tips while preserving the natural pointed leaf shape.

Hedera tip

Dracaena can be affected by salt build-up in the soil. If leaf tips repeatedly dry out, use low-salt water and avoid overfeeding, allowing excess water to drain freely.

Where to place it

  • Well-lit living rooms and bedrooms.
  • Offices and reception tables.
  • Entrances and indoor hallways.
  • Small and medium-sized corners.
  • Commercial spaces and clinics.

Place it directly on the floor or inside a decorative planter that accommodates the 17 cm nursery pot.

Important note

This plant is not edible and may harm cats and dogs if they chew its leaves. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

Frequently asked questions

How tall is the plant on delivery?

Approximately 70 cm, including the nursery pot. Minor natural differences between individual plants are possible.

Does it have two stems?

Yes. The pot contains 2 main stems at staggered heights, creating a more balanced shape.

What size is the nursery pot?

The nursery pot is 17 cm in diameter. The decorative planter is not included.

Is it a floor plant?

Yes. Its height makes it a medium-sized floor plant. You can also use a low plant stand if you want to raise it.

Does it tolerate low light?

It can adapt to medium and relatively low light, but bright, indirect light supports better growth.

How often should I water it?

Water when the top 3–5 cm of soil has dried. Check the soil before watering rather than following a fixed number of days.

Is the decorative planter included?

No. The product includes the plant in its plastic nursery pot with a 17 cm diameter only. The decorative planter in the lifestyle photograph is shown for styling and illustration.
