Product description

Kitasal by JISA

Kitasal is an agricultural soil conditioner and calcium source used with irrigation water in soil and water salinity management programs, particularly where sodium salts are elevated in the root zone. It is applied through irrigation to the root zone and is not a foliar product.

JISA states that Kitasal addresses problems associated with saline irrigation water or soils with high levels of sodium salts. It supports improvements in certain physical and chemical soil properties and correction of calcium imbalances within an agricultural management program.

  • Calcium oxide (CaO): 9.3% w/w.
  • Polyhydroxycarboxylic acids: 17% w/w.

  • Application with irrigation water in salt-affected soils.
  • Application when irrigation water salinity is high, at the appropriate rate.

Repeat soil treatments according to conditions. For irrigation water salinity, select a rate within the stated range according to salinity level. There is no fixed dose per 20 litres for treating soil salinity because the label specifies the rate by dunum and treated area, not by water tank volume.

Mixing compatibility and safety

  • Do not mix with compounds containing sulfur or phosphorus, or with alkaline compounds.
  • Follow the safety instructions and warning symbols on the pack.
  • Avoid ingestion, inhalation of spray mist and eye contact. Wear gloves and eye and face protection when handling the product.
