Product description

A practical set of 10 reddish-brown plastic nursery pots for seedlings and small plants. Each pot has a 12 cm external top diameter, 9 cm external bottom diameter and 10 cm external height. The tapered design has a pronounced upper rim and a raised base with openings that help excess water escape. Made in Turkey.

Why choose these pots?

Whether you are preparing seedlings to move into larger pots or looking for a compact container for small plants, these pots provide suitable space for early growth. Their round, tapered shape makes them easy to fill with growing medium and helps with gentle root-ball removal when transplanting. The raised base and its openings provide a path for excess water to drain.

Suitable for plant nurseries, preparing ornamental seedlings, rooting small plants and growing seedlings after moving them into individual containers. Choose a growing medium suited to the plant, water according to its needs and avoid leaving the pot in standing water after watering.

Capacity clarification

The approximate geometric volume per pot, based on external dimensions, is about 0.87 L. Approximating the body as a truncated cone: π × height ÷ 12 × (top diameter squared + the product of both diameters + bottom diameter squared). Substituting the dimensions: π × 10 ÷ 12 × (12² + 12 × 9 + 9²) = 871.8 cm³ ≈ 0.87 L. This is not a measurement of actual growing-medium capacity, which is lower because of the wall thickness, rim, base and filling level. Actual capacity must be measured by filling before treating it as a specification.

Suitable uses

  • Moving seedlings into individual pots after germination.
  • Growing ornamental seedlings and small plants before transplanting into larger containers or the ground.
  • Preparing small plants in nurseries and home gardens.

How to use

Fill each pot with a suitable growing medium and place the seedling in the center without pressing heavily on the roots. Leave a small gap below the rim for watering, then water until excess water begins to drain from the base. Move to a larger pot when the roots spread and the plant needs more growing space.

Frequently asked questions

What is its capacity? The calculated geometric volume per pot from its external dimensions is about 0.87 L. Actual growing-medium capacity is lower and requires direct measurement.

Does it drain water? The photos show a raised base with lower openings that allow excess water to escape. Make sure these remain clear when filling.

Is it suitable for permanent planting? It suits small plants and seedlings. The plant's growth habit and rate of root development determine when it needs a larger pot.
