Care guide

Light

It prefers bright, indirect indoor light and can adapt to medium light. Avoid strong direct sunlight to prevent leaf scorch.

Watering

Water when the top 3–5 cm of soil dries. Add water until it drains from the pot, then discard the excess. Do not follow a fixed watering schedule. Check the soil first, as drying rates vary with light, temperature and season.

Soil and drainage

Use a light, well-drained houseplant mix and a pot with drainage holes. Avoid soil remaining waterlogged for long periods to protect the roots from rot.

Temperature

Moderate household temperatures of approximately 18–27°C are suitable. Keep it away from direct air-conditioning airflow and heat sources, and protect it from sudden temperature changes.

Humidity

Normal household humidity is suitable. Gently wipe the leaves with a damp cloth to remove dust and maintain their appearance.

Feeding

Apply a balanced or foliage-plant fertiliser every 4–6 weeks in spring and summer, following the rate on the product label. Reduce feeding in winter or when growth slows.

Hedera tip

Dracaena leaf tips can be affected by high salt levels in water or overfeeding. If the tips repeatedly dry out, use low-salt water and periodically flush the soil, allowing it to drain fully.

Where to place it

  • Work desks and reception areas.
  • Consoles and side tables.
  • Wide shelves and small corners.
  • Living rooms and bedrooms with suitable light.

Important note

This plant is not edible and may harm cats and dogs if they chew its leaves. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

Frequently asked questions

How tall is the plant on delivery?

Approximately 50 cm, including the nursery pot. Minor natural differences between individual plants are possible.

Does it have one stem?

Yes. One main stem emerges from the soil and branches near the top into two leafy crowns.

Does it tolerate low light?

It can adapt to medium light, but bright, indirect light supports better growth and clearer leaf colour.

How often should I water it?

Water when the top 3–5 cm of soil has dried. There is no fixed schedule; reduce watering in winter or in lower light.

Is the decorative planter included?
