Product description

Hedera C Hydroponic Solution – Professional pH Regulation

Hedera C is a pH regulator designed to adjust the pH of irrigation water and nutrient solutions used in hydroponic systems. It helps achieve a suitable pH that improves nutrient availability and the roots' ability to absorb and use nutrients.

Hedera C is used as part of a complete feeding programme with Hedera A and B. It helps regulate nutrient-solution pH and reduce problems caused by high pH, such as nutrient lockout and poor uptake of iron, phosphorus, zinc and manganese.

The product contains a practical colour indicator to help track pH changes: the water gradually changes from yellow to orange, then pink.

Why regulate pH in hydroponics?

  • Improve nutrient availability in the solution.
  • Increase nutrient uptake efficiency through the roots.
  • Reduce the likelihood of iron, phosphorus and trace-element lockout.
  • Improve the efficiency of Hedera A and B nutrient solutions.
  • Support root and vegetative growth.
  • Reduce nutrient-deficiency symptoms associated with elevated water pH.

Features

  • Helps regulate hydroponic water pH.
  • Suitable for use with Hedera A and B.
  • Includes an easy-to-use colour indicator.
  • Fast-acting and easy to add to the nutrient tank.
  • Suitable for growing towers and domestic and commercial systems.
  • Can be used with leafy vegetables, herbs and fruiting plants.
  • Practical 500 ml bottle.

Composition

  • Total nitrogen (N): 5% – urea nitrogen.
  • Water-soluble phosphorus pentoxide (P₂O₅): 15%.

Directions for use

  1. Fill the hydroponic tank with the required amount of water.
  2. Add Hedera A and B at the recommended rates.
  3. Stir thoroughly to distribute the nutrients evenly.
  4. Check the solution pH with a pH meter, if available.
  5. Add Hedera C gradually in small amounts, stirring continuously.
  6. Wait briefly after each addition, then recheck the pH or observe the colour change.
  7. Stop when the pH is suitable for the crop.
  8. Recheck pH regularly throughout the growing cycle.

Colour indicator

  • Yellow: high pH; the water tends towards alkalinity.
  • Orange: pH is approaching the required level.
  • Pink: pH is approximately 4.5–5.5.

Suitable crops

Lettuce, rocket, spinach, parsley, coriander, mint, basil, strawberries, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, aromatic and medicinal plants, and ornamentals grown hydroponically.

Suitable systems

Growing towers, NFT and DWC systems, drip irrigation, coco peat and perlite systems, and domestic and commercial installations.

Use and storage

  • Shake well before use.
  • Add gradually in small amounts.
  • Do not mix concentrated solutions directly with each other.
  • Wear gloves during preparation and use.
  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
