What is a balanced fertilizer?

A balanced fertilizer contains similar proportions of nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (K), such as 20-20-20, making it a safe option for routine feeding without having to identify a particular nutrient deficiency. Added trace elements (TE), such as iron, zinc and manganese, prevent yellowing and deficiency-related symptoms.

Directions for use

  1. Dissolve the recommended quantity in water according to the pack instructions.
  2. Apply with irrigation water or as a foliar spray in the morning or evening.
  3. Repeat feeding every 1–2 weeks during active growth.
  4. Avoid fertilizing dry soil or applying during high temperatures.

What is the difference between balanced and specialist fertilizers?
