Grow flavorful, nutritious arugula microgreens easily at home. Their slightly peppery taste and tender green leaves add a distinctive fresh touch to your dishes.

How to grow

1. Soak the arugula seeds in water for 2–4 hours to improve germination.
2. Prepare a growing tray with light soil or a damp growing mat made from cotton or coconut coir.
3. Spread the seeds evenly over the soil surface without covering them with soil.
4. Gently mist the seeds with a spray bottle every day to maintain moisture.
5. Keep the tray under a dark cover for the first 3 days to encourage germination.
6. Once the seeds sprout, move the tray to a sunny spot or place it under artificial lighting.
7. Continue misting the seeds daily, avoiding overwatering to prevent rot.
8. Harvest the arugula microgreens after 7–10 days, when the leaves are 3–5 cm long.
